Bill's puzzle marks the first guest appearance by someone who came across my work out in the world and reached out to talk constructing.

Happy hump day! Made this on a whim to celebrate 22-Across and the history she made last night.

This puzzle's central entry was inspired by the inimitable Sid Sivakumar. I think his website is sidsgrids.com, but I'm not totally sure.
