Puzzle No. 28: Themeless

I keep coming back to the idea of only using one repeating pattern of black squares in a themeless grid. After some experimentation, this puzzle is best I've come up with (so far!) and I'm excited to share it today.

I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've dipped into 64-word territory, and while it's a bit less flashy overall than I try to aim for when making themelesses, I think the grid aesthetics and the relative lack of compromises in short fill make up for it. Hope you enjoy!
