Hope's been vibing to 38-Across this week, so I couldn't not seed today's puzzle with it! This 72-word grid came together pretty smoothly from there — with 15 bonuses of 8+ letters in total, I'm pretty happy with it.
Also, Sid Sivakumar and I put our heads together on an awesome pack of 20 "Modern Midis" for the New York Times crossword app, and they're all ready to play! Check them out and let us know what you think — we had a blast making them.
